- Note: NAVSEA Rope Couplings and NAVSEA Towing Thimbles are not readily available on the commercial market
Picture of a Brand New 2024, Galvanized, Size No.10, Towing Coupling as per NAVSEA Drawing 5000916. This Size 10 Towing Coupling is for 10” circumference synthetic rope or 3.25” rope diameter. Note the Castle Nut and the Cotter Pin. The bolt is a called a Shoulder Bolt.
Other Side of the same Brand New 2024, Galvanized, Size No.10, Towing Coupling as per NAVSEA Drawing 5000916. For a Size 10 Towing Coupling the Minimum Breaking Load is 277,200 LBS as per the NAVSEA drawing.
We can supply the entire Towing Coupling Assembly as per NAVSEA Drawing 5000916 or components, for example a pair of Castle Nuts, Cotter Pins, and the Shoulder Bolts.
