Security Cables, Security Chain, and Security Lock Assemblies Selection Guide
If your boat requires additional security please consider a 1/2” stainless steel wire rope security cable assembly shown above. Each end has a small hydraulic swage eye where a lock can be used to join the eyes. Nylon cordura chafe guard is used protect equipment that the cable comes in contact with. The chafe guard can also be place on the eyes. Wrap the cable around critical equipment (steering wheel, cleats, access portals, etc., which dissuades a thief from steeling your valuables. Security Chain Assemblies are also available.

Square heat treated links make it difficult to cut through with conventional bolt cutters and provides much higher resistance to cutting than the traditional round bar stock used to make most chains. making it an ideal chain for security uses. Miami Cordage offers custom length assemblies with the chain covered with cordura to protect it. The thru hardened security chain has a square link design which provides much higher resistance to cutting than the traditional round bar stock used to make most chains. The square cross section of each link does not allow the intersection of a lever or other burglary instruments.
